Windows Installer
As I think that the release is not that far, I built another Windows installer:
http://www.maths.univ-evry.fr/pages_perso/vtorri/files/Efl-1.1.0.exe
It can install the EFL up to Edje, plus Elementary and Expedite. It's not an "official" 1.1.0 release contrary to the name of the file. I just took the code in the svn the 18th September 2011. But I don't think that there will be a lot more features for 1.1.0 release.
If you have some time, feel free to try it.
There are some bugs, and elm tests that are not all working (factory test, images which path is hardcoded, ...)
I tested it on Win XP 32 bits. So on Win > XP, there could be some problems. Especially, try to enable the XP compatibility mode, it shoud help a bit.
Main improvements compared to 1.0 :
- ecore_con, which should work (hence ecore_ipc too)
- resize of the windows, which is faaaaar smoother than in the 1.0 release.
Ordissimo - a Linux-based OS using E17 as interface
Ordissimo is a french company which proposes a unique OS based on Linux, and the associated hardware (desktop, laptop, tablet). It targets people who are not used to computers (that is, essentially people older than 50 years old). A new version was released recently, with a new interface using E17. The idea is to create a specific profile, ala Illume, to place the windows of the applications: one application per desktop. If the application has several windows, stacking and tiling concepts are used.

Windows Installer
I have built new Windows installers (with or without debug symbols). It installs everything which is needed for Elementary and Ewl, and Expedite. It is built with source code of September the 27th 2009, with some local modifications that will be committed upstream later.
The link is in the binary packages page (at the bottom).
Please test and report problems
OpenSolaris port
I have looked a bit at the OpenSolaris port. Though its compiler is a lot more strict than gcc, Eina, Eet, Evas and Expedite can be compiled. Expedite seems to run too.
The instructions on how to compile the code on that platform can be found here.
I still have problems with the compilation of Ecore and Embryo, but I'm investigating that. Any help is welcome, of course.
Windows XP Installers
The installers (with and without debug symbols) have been uploaded. They are based on revision 41042 of the svn repository. They can be found in the binary packages page.
The installed EFL are Evil, Eina, Eet, Evas, Ecore, Embryo, Edje, Elementary and Ewl. Expedite, as well as all needed dependencies, are also installed.
Development files (import and static libraries, header files, .pc files) can be installed if they are selected.
