Close button freezes E

Hello,

I'm on Ubuntu Natty (upgraded from a clean Maverick), compiled Enlightenment with the easy_e17 script from SVN and it's up-to-date. I have the eweather applet sitting on my desktop, and since a few months now, when I go into its settings and click apply, then close, E completely freezes (even without the critical failure dialog where you can choose to restart or exit Enlightenment). Only way to restore it, is to restart gdm from another console. Since a few days (the last working SVN revision to my knowledge might have been two weeks ago), this type of freeze also happens (very often, but not always) when I open (or click the close button) in one of the application lists in the Settings (like Startup applications) or when I try to edit some shortcuts in the iBar. Compositing does not affect this. The eweather issue and the applications issue might be two different things, but the behavior is the same. I am willing to help with logfiles, but don't know what you would need, nor where they are located.

does this problem still exist? see  http://trac.enlightenment.org/e/wiki/Debugging for how to attach a gdb to running e when it freezes. the backtrace would be of interest here
