Each of our projects may have different licensing schemes: BSD, LGPL or GPL. There is no imposed license for new projects, although we recommend LGPL-2.1.

Contributions to project must match the project licensing. For instance, if a project is BSD, LGPL/GPL code will not be accepted unless developers agree in the mail list. Proprietary contributions are not allowed.

There is no copyright assignment. Every contribution is copyright of the original author.

There is no per-file copyright header or authors information. These are stored globally for each project at files COPYING and AUTHORS respectively.

Every contribution patch should introduce the authors in AUTHORS file. If you ever forgot about it, you can request your name to be included afterwards.
